Rocksitsit

Arvon kylterit,
on taas koittanut se aika vuodesta, kun Parkki muuntautuu rockmusiikin kiistattomien (ja kiisteltyjen) tähtihetkien estradiksi. Sitsien desibelimittarin taajuusaluettakin uhmaavat alkusoinnut johdattelevat yleisön ensin 1960-luvulle aikaan, jolloin politiikka ja musiikki kietoutuivat yhteen ennennäkemättömällä, osin vallankumouksellisellakin tavalla. Illan mittaan aikamatka läpi rockin eri vuosikymmenten jatkuu, kun lavalle astelevat rokkikukot Steve Harrisista Alice Cooperiin Kotiteollisuus ja Pelle Miljoona vanavedessään.
Saattaa siis olla, että Nemo elää tänä iltana rukoillen tai levoton Tuhkimo on se, joka Ramonesin mukaan laittoi jotain juomaasi – yhtä kaikki, huomionarvoista näissä sitseissä on se, että te, arvoisa rokkikansa, pääsette suurissa määrin vaikuttamaan illan kulkuun. Rocksitsit ovat osallistujiensa näköiset, joten soi Spotifyssasi sitten Metallica tai Haloo Helsinki, ovat nämä sitsit helmikuun must attend. Lopuksi (koska musiikissa kaikki on mahdollista ja Nightwishkin meni ja yhdisti oopperan metalliin) otimme vapauden eksyä toisen, hieman sitsiemme teemasta poikkeavan musiikkigenren puolelle:
“Parkki rock is in the house tonight

For this show’ll kind of blow your mind”

Dear fellow students!
The moment for Parkki to transform into a stage for the most memorable moments of rock has come once again! Whether you’re interested in glam, progressive rock or pure heavy metal, you don’t want to miss this epic event! During the night we’ll travel in time all the way from the 60’s to the present introducing you to some of the greatest legends from Steve Harris to Alice Cooper.
The audience will have many opportunities to affect the content of the sitz throughout the night! Rocksitsit reflects its participants meaning you can wish for your favorite rock song (Metallica/Haloo Helsinki, it really doesn’t matter) to be sung together. Finally, (for everything’s possible when it comes to music and even Nightwish went and combined opera with metal), we took the freedom to try out something different, i.e. totally out of the genre of the sitz, resulting in the following:

NB! The registration e-mail for the sitz will be sent first to the KY-KYSS-list and only afterwards to KY-AKTIIVI (on Tuesday the 2nd of February), so make sure to add yourself to a member of the e-mail-list in question :)
